Experience a fascinating golf taster course with our head professional Glynn Steven. We invite all those interested in golf to discover golfing free of charge. Find out everything you need to know about golf and try your first hits with the small white ball. Bring along comfortable clothing, sports shoes and joy in movement and you will receive everything else - such as golf clubs and balls - from us. Reservations possible from 5.2.2010 at the reception.

Excursions
In the cross lines of famous cities, Il Pelagone is the optimal starting point in order to discover Tuscany. Visit Siena, Pisa, Florence or the “Eternal City of Rome”. Idyllic winegrowing and mountain villages, like Massa Marittima, Montalcino or Scansano invite you to be part of the Tuscan life. The nearby located island of Elba is worth a day trip. You can request the detailed excursion program at the reception.
Wine in Tuscany
Tuscany is among the most known wine growing areas of Italy. The principal type of grape of the region is the Sangiovese. World famous Tuscan wines such as the Chianti are produced mainly from this grape. The Brunello di Montalcino and the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano are also highly recommended to wine connoisseurs.
Maremma is a still young, aspiring wine region - many known wineries already use the region as area for cultivation. Morellino di Scansano has established itself as an important wine growing area of Maremma. Red wines of the Sangiovese are produced there mainly.
Wine Degustation
Enjoy your time in Tuscany with an exclusive wine tasting - every Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The Tuscan vineyard lies in the DOC area of Montereggio di Massa Marittima and offers first class wines of the Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes as well as one of the best olive oils of Maremma. The vineyard applies strictly controlled organic farming methods. Typical Maremman degustation specialties are served with the wines! A memorable experience for every visitor of Tuscany.
Degustation fee per person EUR 15, -
Reservations at the reception until Wednesday noon. Meeting point with one’s own car in front of the reception at 3.45 p.m. Return trip at about 7 p.m.
Through Maremma on the bicycle
The Maremma is a popular location for racing and mountain bikers likewise. The coastal area is rather flat and thus suitable for pleasure cyclists as well. The interior of the country is characterized by many mountains. Demanding tours await the cyclist here with many altitude meters. The staff at the reception will be happy to assist you in selecting a route. Rental bikes on request.
Original landscape in the Parco Nationale di Maremma
A visit of the national park Maremma will enrich your vacation. Observe the endemic Maremma cattle with their impressive horns. These robust cattle are taken care of by the Tuscan cowboys, the butteri, in their natural habitat. You are more than welcome to accompany the butteri on horseback or with a carriage and watch them at work. The national park connects to the sea. Endless walks on protected beaches are guaranteed.
