Walking through the Tauern
Hiking pleasures in and around Bad Gastein is a marvelous experience of nature. 90 km well cared for hiking trails in the National Park Hohe Tauern await enthusiastic hikers. For families, a relaxed route to an alp is recommended. The reception team will be happy to assist you with the planning of your tour. For a fee, you can rent GPS devices for your hike. The Gasteinertal has gained a good reputation as centre of the new trend sport Geocaching.

On the mountains with the bike
Well marked cycle and mountain bike paths lead through the entire Gasteinertal. Depending on your condition and stamina, you can choose leisurely or challenging tours. Manager of the Hotel, Martin Wagner, a passionate biker himself, will gladly assist you choosing the route. Bike rental in the Hotel.

Golfing experience in superb landscape scenery
The Golf Club Gastein offers an 18-hole golf course, driving range, golf school and pro shop. Tournaments are organized from April until October. During winter, one does not need to do without golfing enjoyment: indoor golf training facilities make it happen.
Golf-Alpin-Pass: The Golf-Alpin-Pass comprises five greenfee coupons that are valid on 28 golf courses in the province of Salzburg and in Tyrol.

Gasteiner world of good health
A “natural therapist” for those seeking rest and recuperation is the Gasteiner spa water. Whether strengthening the immune system, alleviating chronic pain or treatment of respiratory diseases - the Gasteiner thermal cure, the rock spa resort (Felsentherme) and the radon healing gallery (Heilstollen) enjoy great popularity and recognition far beyond national boundaries.

Health from the depths of the Tauern
The Radon Healing Gallery Gastein offers a healing climate unique in the world. The increased radon content (up to 4,5 nanocuries per liter of gallery air), combined with heat and the high humidity create ideal conditions for speleotherapy (the air is extremely pure, with no dust or allergens and low levels of bacteria, healing aerosols and negative ions) that achieve best healing successes among others with the Bekhterev’s disease, fibromyalgia, chronic polyathritis, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, neurodermatitis.

Rock spa (Felsenbad) Bad Gastein
The Felsenbad Bad Gastein is a national park thermal spring with indoor and outdoor pools, with a water temperature of 34°C. At its core is you will find an imposing, natural rock grotto with a waterfall. The wellness area with sauna connected to it is regarded as relaxation oasis with a most pleasant flair. From the large outdoor pool in the Felsenbad, hot steam rises, the bathers can relax even with minus 10 degrees air temperature in the pleasantly warm thermal bath.

Be there live in the Ski Amadé
Experience ski slopes of superlatives. 201 kilometers of superbly prepared skiing slopes ensure varied sport pleasures. Ideal starting point is the Stubnerkogel (2.250 m above sea level). From there a new 8 person gondola will bring you into the Angertal to the Schlossalm in Bad Hofgastein. The ideal altitude and modern snow-making facilities guarantee snow from the end of November until April.

Cross-country skiing
Especially athletic cross-country skiers get their money’s worth on the alpine cross-country trails in and around Bad Gastein.

Golf cross-country ski trail (classic and skating 2 km)
A pleasant cross-country skiing trail in the area of Badbruck/ Kötschachdorf, 960 m above sea level. Length approximately 3,5 km.

Böcksteiner cross-country skiing trail (classic and skating 5,6 km)
The cross-country skiing trail with basic level of difficulty is situated 1.100 m above sea level and has a classic as well as a skating track. Starting point is at the Ullmannwiese where a sufficiently large parking area is available. The cross-country skiing trail leads over flat and slightly hilly terrain in a beautiful circuit back to the respective starting point again. Length app. 5 km.

Sportgastein cross-country skiing trails (classic and skating 10–12 km)
Possibilities for every cross-country skier. Different routes with varying lengths up to 12 km, for classic technique or skating fulfill the wishes of all cross-country skiers. The guaranteed snow during the entire winter and the appealing altitude on 1.600 m above sea level underscore the advantage of Sportgastein as cross-country skiing paradise. Especially ideal for cross-country skiing until late in spring. Sunny trails!

Wintertime fun off the slopes
Tobogganing, horse drawn sleigh rides, ice-skating, ice-climbing, snowshoe hiking and biathlon make your holiday a true winter pleasure off the slopes as well.

Live dabei in Ski amadé
Erleben Sie eine Pistenwelt der Superlative. 201 top-präparierte Pistenkilometer sorgen für abwechslungsreiches Sportvergnügen. Optimaler Ausgangspunkt ist der Stubnerkogel (2.250 m Seehöhe). Golfloipe (klassisch und skating 2 km)
Im Bereich Badbruck/ Kötschachdorf gelegene Loipe mit leichtem Charakter auf 960m Seehöhe. Länge ca. 3,5km

Böcksteiner Loipe (klassisch und skating 5,6 km)
Die auf 1.100m Seehöhe gelegene Loipe mit leichtem Schwierigkeitsgrad verfügt neben einer klassischen Spur auch über eine Skatingspur. Beginn ist bei der Ullmannwiese, bei der auch ein genügend großer Parkplatz zur Verfügung steht. Die Loipe führt über ebenes und leicht hügeliges Gelände in einem schönen Rundkurs wieder zum jeweiligen Ausgangspunkt. Länge ca. 5km

Sportgastein Loipen (klassisch und skating 10 – 12 km)
Möglichkeiten für jeden Langläufer. Verschiedene Routen mit unterschiedlicher Länge bis zu 12km, für klassische Technik oder Skating erfüllen die Wünsche aller Langläufer. Die Schneesicherheit während des gesamten Winters und die reizvolle Höhenlage auf 1.600m Seehöhe unterstreichen den Vorteil von Sportgastein als Loipenparadies. Besonders ideal für den Langlauf bis in das späte Frühjahr. Sonnenloipe!

Winterspaß abseits der Pisten
